I have been reloading for two Carl Gustav Rolling Block rifles - both with Trail Boss.
Previous user employed 14 gr of Unique in both of them.

Been using pure lead Mini Balls (LEE MOLD 500-354-M) in the .50 Alaskan Reformed Brass with
15 gr of Trail Boss (TB) for the 12.7mm rifle. Works great ! Hexagonal holes in the targets.
Running out of the cast Lead guys and need to recast some more.

Then been using 8mm LEE Cast Bullets in Wheel Weight metal (capped) in the other
8mmx58R Carl Gustav with Brass reformed from 45-90 Brass. Got 92% finished Brass.
That works great also with 15 gr of TB. 1896 stamped

Question - for the 12.7mm CG RB, is there any reason not to use Wheel Weight Metal
to cast those LEE 363 gr Mini Ball Bullets ? I am keeping the loads fairly light in this
old rifle with TB and Cotton Filler. Stamped 1896 on the Wood Stock. Knox Body shaped
Barrel before the Receiver. Re-barreled for Cordite ?

I am assuming the harder WW metal would up the internal pressure a bit. ? ? ? ?

I can only say what I use with nice results. Lee 515-450, cast from 20/1 lead/tin, weighing 445gr, sized to .512”, lubed with NRA 50/50 and 12gr Unique. LBT says mine are 10bnh. Average 1005fps and no leading. My groove diameter is .512”. I see no problem with W/W as long as the boolits are not undersize for your bore. I seat my boolits out as much as I can for my rifle and still chamber.

Shouldn't be a problem, my 12.7 has bore/land of 0.508/0.492" so plenty of deep rifling to bite into any boolit.
