View Full Version : Value of Dan Wesson .357 Pistol Pack (blued) without the actual pistol?

Hi folks
Helping a widow sell some assets - trying to figure a rough value on the Dan Wesson pistol pack with blued barrels, belt buckle and case...but not pistol itself. 3.25", 5" and 7" barrels (measuring the externally visible part, not the barrel insert) and two wooden handgrips.

Any wild guesses as to value? In the case, barely used, but no pistol frame.

Thanks

No idea. I've seen the complete kit going for $1200, but I don't know how to price it without the revolver itself.

Look on eBay. They sell them there all the time for max dollars.

DDinTucson,
Welcome to the forum.

There is no way to give you a solid answer. Condition and sale technique can mean the difference between $200 for the set or $2000+ for it if you piecemeal it on fleabay or goingBROKER.

2", 4", 6" and 8" were the common inclusions in a pistol pack. Highest value would be a complete box in excellent condition with wrench and grips. Individual bbls in VG condition sell for $250-$350 on a popular auction site. Scratched, rough looking, dirty barrels not so much. IIRC, there were two blue finish grades and stainless sold.

If I had a Dan Wesson .357 in good shape from back in the day. I think I would spring 500.00 for the whole kit as described IF there wasn't a scratch on anything in it.
I would try to sell it whole before you break it up. Put it on Gunbroker, you might do better in this current climate. You wouldn't need any FFL etc.

Sir are you sure the sizes are correct?? I would also say if so your looking at about $400-$500 for the complete set.

IIWM, I would consider buying a DW 357 to sell the kit with.
