Pack of Angry Chihuahuas Attack Officer

FREMONT, Calif. (AP) - A pack of angry Chihuahuas attacked a police officer who was escorting a teenager home after a traffic stop, authorities said.

The officer suffered minor injuries, including bites to his ankle, Detective Bill Veteran said.

The five Chihuahuas escaped the 17-year-old boy's home and rushed the officer in the doorway Thursday, authorities said. The teenager had been detained after the traffic incident.

The officer was treated at a hospital and returned to work less than two hours later.

NOW I know why boots--instead of oxford shoes--were a good idea on uniform duty. I can only imagine the "ATTACK OF THE KILLER CHIHUAHUAS" references that graced the poor guy's locker at end of watch.

DROP THE CHALUPA!!

For the police officer attacked by the micro-mutts: Can you say "Goooooooooaaaaallllllllll!!!!!" Five kicks and a summons to the family for unleashed animals. Small dogs are often pretty vicious on their own but a pack of the critters! Can you say piranhas.

To the family in Bartlesville: My exteme condolences at thier loss. The Pitbull Terrier (yes they once were considered terriers until idiots decided to cross-breed crap into the genepool) is a species of dog that needs to be closed down and brought back under control. People should stop buying these dogs for status symbols (This is a market economy dog. No ned for these dogs except for vanity of the owner)

Give me a working dog anyday. Border Collie anyone!

Bruce- We have two Border Collies here on the farm. The male is a Blue Merle we got to mate with out black and white female. UNfortunately she is apparently a lesbian. The only male dog she shows interest in is our neutered Dalmation! I have a flock of sheep and we hoped to use the dogs with the sheep, my wifes goats and the cows. Hasn't worked out real well so far. I have a 50 training corral half set up for the horses and we plan on running snow fence along the bottom to hold the sheep so we can train the dogs more easily. The instinct they display is amazing. the male has a hard eye and is a skulker. The female has no eye to speak of, but is like lightning for speed. She wants to circle what ever she runs. That doesn't work so well with my nieghbors cows when they're in my fields. (His idea of a fence is some 1" birch poles and a single strand of rusty barb wire hooked to a 1950's fencer.) Amazing dogs.

In 13 years of Police work it has been the same thing over and over again. Pits & Rots are where all the trouble comes from. I'm averaging one or two a year. A lot of dog fighting going on in our area and there are no shortage of strays running around that will attack unprovoked or decide to take over somebody's yard or porch. Animal control is too scared to get out of their van half the time (only their supervisor is allowed to carry a guage these days) so they call the "Po-Po" and we have to deal with the mutts.

Being attacked by a flock of angry Chiuahias would be a real joke, just stomp & kick.

Likely because they smelled the donuts he had been handling...

When I was 11 or thereabouts, a close friend of my grandmother had a Chihuahua that had a disposition of smoldering dynamite. I have 5 scars on my left hand from that little *** to prove it too. It attacked without warning and I fed it a hand to keep it away from my face. I was totally pissed and contemplated murder for several weeks. but could never get a clear shot.

Tpr Brett---You have a border collie you bought to mate with your black and white female. Also hope to use it on sheep, wifes goats and cows. I doubt that the sheep, goats and cows will be receptive as well. I understand now why you are a LEO and not in animal husbandry.

This from a man who knows sheep well! Wills told me he was involved with goats too but the cows are a new revelation. Are there no laws in Texas to protect these animals from perverts?

Chihuahuas are fiesty. I had one of my Great Pyrenees guard dogs in to the vet a couple months ago. He was just a pup of about 90# at the time. There was a older man at the counter ahead of me holding a little Chihuahua. I was standing back about 6 feet because my dog is not really a pet and isn't used to strangers. The Chihuahua looked over the mans shoulder and saw my dog and went nuts. It was trying to run over the guys shoulder and down he back to get at my dog. I thought he was going to loose his hold on it. Luckily one of the women came running over and snatched the thing away from him. She said " You little guys think you can take on the world but I think you're outclassed this time".

Was I ever relieved she was there. I thought that Chihuahua was going to commit suicide.

Two women were in the vets office, one had a huge great dane and the other a small poodle. The lady with the poodle told the other lady that her Fifi seemed to have a cold. The lady with the great dane said when she stepped out of the shower her dane came up behind her and had his way with her. The woman with the poodle asked if she was having him neutered? She said no,having his nails clipped.

If you think chewuparws are bad, try a 20 lb fiesty toy fox terrier, no one ever told them they don't still weigh 75lbs, also have a terrible temper.
They don't need no steenking pack, either, sorta like, one riot, one ranger, just takes one.
;D
