Picked up 1000 Acme 9mm 145 grain round nose hi-tech coated bullets. Few months ago bought a CVA Cascade in 350 Legend. Decided I would try some of the Acme bullets in the 350. Settled on 15.9 grains of Alliant 2400. Just an estimation that was based on a 357 magnum load. The results were phenomenal, got .5 groups at 50 yards (3 shot groups). Not used to such quick results with cast bullets, but i'll take it.

Congratulations. Your lucky to get right the first try. Now will you be content with what you have, or still experiment with different loads?

That is very interesting. I was asked the other day if you could shoot a 9mm 160 grain Hitek coated bullet out of a 350 legend. I know that it would fit, but didn’t know of the coating would stand up to those kind of speeds.

I shoot a 125 grain gc boolit in mine at speeds up to about 2500 fps. With great accuracy and no leading. The twist of my barrel is 1:16 so you can push them pretty fast. The boolit is the accurate 35- 125 yg.

i'm shooting a Ruger #3 in 350 legend so I'm not limited to a over all length by a magazine ' using a 250 gr. RN mould from N.O.E. and a Hoch mould that drops a 285 gr. bullet at .350 in diameter that i use to paper patch and the 250 gr. bullet I P.C. but both will shoot 3/4 to 1 inch groups @ 100 yds. and pushing them around 1600 fps. with reloader 10

AWESOME ...Take it when you can get it !

That happened to me ...Once ...
My very first 7x57 Mauser load , 3 shots touched in a cloverleaf , 1 shot 1/4" above , 1 shot 1/4" below ... the whole group could be covered with a quarter . Bingo !
I still have the rifle and used that load for years ...

Write down your load data and put it someplace safe ... not in the "cloud" !

gunfan2,

I shoot the Acme 145g RN-NLG boolit in steel competition in my 9mm and I love the way it shoots with minimal recoil.

44 Blam,

I have lots of 125 grain cast, just wondered if you might be interested in sharing some of your load data, I have tried some 296, but a little leary of it's pressure spikes.

One other thing that I wanted to mention, I have 200 Winchester 350 Legend brass. I have noticed that they are not uniform in length, being as much as 15 thousands longer on one side than the other. Any of you had these problems?

You mean the mouth of the cartridge is not square across? That is not unusual with some brass and a quick trim fixes it. Given the pressures the ammo making companies are up against now I'm not surprised that quality control may have slipped a bit.
