Ive got one of the Japanester 1892s with the dang funky firing pin setups and rebounding hammers. This is the silliest thing Ive ever seen a manufacturer do to a proven, reliable design. Is there any way to convert the firing pin over to the original style? Ive seen the rebounding hammer fix and it seems to leave a lot to be desired. What all has to be changed over to gain TRUE half cock as the originals?

Thanks cwtebay! Thats pretty in depth! Id imagine that the 86 Browning parts are the same as the 92? Im gonna dig a little deeper and try to find out.

Contact Nate Kiowa Jones. He is the guru on 92's. I know he has converted the newer Winchesters from the rebounding to the one piece firing pin.

I think this is his website.
