I’ve recently purchased several older and antique percussion rifles. I hope to shoot them all. Is there a chart showing the dimensions of various nipples and what would be the correct cap size to be used with it?
Thanks

Wow this is great. Thanks. I have never recommended something for becoming a sticky, but this one should. Moderators please take note!

You can always chuck the nipple into your drill chuck and work it down with a file. The old Navy Arms Pedersoli mule ear “Country Boy” I bought came with a nipple that took #12 caps and I wound up turning it down after #12’s became unobtainium.
