I found an old used star at the gun show today and have already lubed a bunch of bullets...

But now I'm out of lube and can't figure out how to remove the spring/plunger gizmo to place another stick under it.

I have the threaded rod and knurled cap removed but no way to grab hold of the spring/plunger to back it out:(

The threaded rod is the removal tool!

Simply unthread the rod that you use to add pressure, crank the threaded shaft all the way into the "down" position in the cap, then up end it and thread it onto the parts in the sizer!

Now I belive you can use the threaded cap like a "puller" and thread it out until it comes free!

Take the side handle off the threaded rod, turn the treaded rod upside down, screw it into the top of the spring plunger assembly ( in the lube reservoir) , and pull up.

You’ll most likely get a better explanation than mine but here goes. Unscrew the handle from the top of the threaded rod and then screw the rod back through the cap in the opposite direction from what it originally was. Then screw the rod into the plunger. The cap will be upside down when you do this. Once you have the rod screwed into the plunger, tighten the cap down against the plunger barrel. This creates a puller. You can pull the plunger all the way to the top of the barrel like this. The last little bit after the plunger has bottomed out against the cap takes a little muscle and has to be pulled by hand. If the plunger barrel is warm it helps.

then throw it away and get the air cylinder: all you do with that is, unscrew it, and lift it out.

Put air to bottom hole on cylinder and it retracts runfiverun
