On how many 5" blued ones and how many 5" nickeled ones were made?
Value on each?
Just curiosity is all.
Thank you,
Jeff

The Model 27-2 variation started in 1961 with all models having an "S" serial number prefix, until the "N" prefix started in 1969.
Your 5" barreled model was discontinued in 1979.
I have no information on what the ratio was of nickled to blued guns.
I am reluctant to give any monetary estimate without knowing the serial number (era) and condition of the gun.

Well FN,
Mine is N1031XX,barely a ring on the cylinder, and thanks....
Check out the prices on gunbroker, gunsamerica or auctionarms. You don't see a large number of them and the 5 inch even less so. I've kinda been looking for a 6.5 inch shooter to match my old model 29 and 624.

Got lucky and found a nearly mint 5" blue 27-2 last month. It was priced at $600. Don't know about the production figures.

They made a re-run of the 5" models in the early 90's some time. I'm not sure of the -#. The first one I got was a lemon, the second is a sweetheart.
