Yesterday I finally got my long awaited stocks from Herretts, I was initially going tp put them on my 25-5 but the ones on it look pretty decent so I took the new style ones off my 24 and they made it look and feel a ton better.279418279419

I hear Herret's has closed down for Good.
Very SAD.

It is my understanding that they were able to relocate and resume operations. At least, that is what I read on the internet, and that is where you go for the facts.

Nope, Herretts is not closed for good. These came from the new location. They had some problems with the old location but Robin Herrett told me they had those resolved and now doing business again.

Glad to hear they're back up and running. I need to get off my duff and order some stuff that I've been procrastinating about for WAY too long!

Heck yeah! My favorite grips on revolvers. I’m glad to hear they’re up and running. My 617 needs a set. Those look fantastic. Are yours exhibition grade or standard? Either way, they’re stunning.

They are standard, believe it or not. I was pleasantly surprised at the appearance. When I tried them on my model 24 the first time, they didn't fit well and had a gap on each side of the rear grip frame. Then I tried them on the 25-5 with the same results. Not a huge gap but not up to what I thought it should be. Then I realized that this wood came from Twin Falls, Idaho to the middle of Alabama with -probably- a lot different atmospheric conditions so I put them back on my 24 and only tightened the screw slightly. After an hour, I found the screw needed tightened a bit more and on the 3rd time I got the fit that Herretts is famous for. It's wood after all and it needs to "acclimate" some.
