Has anyone here tried the Simply Rugged “Shootist” holster for a Ruger Blackhawk?

I’m looking for something to use at the range or hunting on a 2 1/4” gun belt and it looks promising.

I use a slim jim holster , I believe I bought mine at buffalo arms , about 25 dollars , I use them for range , woods walks , and for hunting , simple and it fits , no issues with pistol wanting to fall out , easy to draw , position where you want , I wear it with a wide and thick cartridge belt , all I use for Ruger blackhawks , SAA Ubertis and Ruger Wranglers .

Nice looking holsters, and $80 seems fair, but with add-ons they'll get expensive fast.

I use his Sourdough Pancake for my 5.5" Bisley Flattop, I find it comfortable and secure. Rob makes a good product and I have a couple of other holsters of his for some of my other pistols.

Thanks guys, I’ve got three of his pancakes (a “stack”?) for different guns, I was curious about the Shootist.

I believe I’ll order one and give her a try.

Have any of you used the Chesty Puller harness? Does it work as well as it looks like it would?
