460s&w mold

looking for some info on a good flat based mold for a 460 s&w. will be using in a 16"t/c encore med loads for 50-75 yrds tks ken

the 460 is just a long 45colt, 454 casull, case any of those that will fit your bbl diameter and throat will work.
some t/c's have a goofy throat thing going on you will want to do an impact measurement. then make a call on your boolit.

Don't know fer sure about the TC's, but the S&W company uses gain twist rifling in the barrels. This may cause some serious problems using cast boolits in the 460. Might want to make a call to TC to find out the poop. Buckshot or some others might be able to shed some light on the subject.

no problem this is a custom chambered shilen barrel blank the barrel is no kin to t/c tks for your input ken

I use the Lee452 252 in 45 colt cases and is very good in the S&W 460. Lee also has a 300gr tumble lube with moly added
