Lee sprue plate screw

When did Lee change the sprue plate screw? I need a long one that goes through both halves of the mold, through the handle cut. I assume that is the old style. The new one is shorter, only screws into the top half of the mold - this is what came when I ordered the repair kit.

Anyone know the nomenclature for the old one or a source?

I looked at mine and saw none that went through , 6 cavity or 2 , but my oldest 6 cavity is a buckshot mold .

I have LEE moulds going back 16 years or so and none of mine have a full length screw. Did you buy this mould used? Maybe a previous owner altered it. I have done some of mine that way.

That's possible, it was used. Now to figure out what was used!

I have an old Lee mould I bought used. It’s the type with the bar to align the two halves and not pins. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t go all the way through. Does yours have the bar or pins?

Greg, that would be a two cavity. This is a six cavity.

No it's not metric. That's a 1/4-28 thread.

The bolts used for the sprue and kick out plate are different lengths. The shoulder for the sprue is smaller than the other one.

No, mine was redrilled and threaded metric. Still got to get over to the specialty hardware store to get an oversize wave washer.
