I recently purchased a TC Custom Shop 14" Contender barrel in 375 JDJ and noticed none of my manuals have any data for it. All my manuals are newer publish. I am assuming I need to go back to older prints to find the data I am looking for.

I did find some data on the Hornady and hodgdon website. A gentleman on here was kind enough to send me the original JDJ data he received with his barrel. However I have read others talking about powders used that aren't on any of my data.

Can anyone tell me which volume, copy, print of what book I should purchase to get more data please. Any assistance would be appreciated.. I am about to just start ordering all volumes of everything I can find. Which might not be a bad idea anyway. Lol

I have a reloading app that has some 375 JDJ load data. What powder are you looking for to use?

I currently have CFE 223, Varget, H4198 and BL-C(2) for rifle powders. What app are you using?

Eastbank was able to give me load data for BL-C(2) and a 220g bullet. Now I could only find 270G bullets. This shortage needs to end so we can shoot what we want not what we can find. Lol

It's off of google play and called reloading assistant. It only list two powders for the 270 gr bullets H322 and H4895. Its not a bad app I use it often when im out shopping to look for powders.

Ohio Rusty started a thread with a link to some older reloading manuals. They are free to down load.

H322 did not perform well for me in the JDJ large bore calibers. The powder is too slow for the 14" barrel and I did not get good or sufficient case obturation. It gave erratic velocity and very high SD.

That's what I saw too. Apple has a reloading assistant too. As soon as I remember my password I'll download it.

Thanks for that tip. I would have bought H322 in a heartbeat if I saw it. 47g looks terrible. 43 doesn't look too bad from the pictures

Thank you for that. I wonder why they took BL-C(2) off of their current data. I haven't loaded much for rifle loads but have found this is my favorite. I was hoping it showed a 270g load

Contact SSK and see if they will send you one of the load sheets they included with their custom barrels for their JDJ wildcats.

Give me a few, I think there was an article in handloader magazine
Ill scan the pages and send to you. I load for all of them, unfortunately
most of my "non essential" every day reloading stuff and nfo is packed
up for the move to S.C this spring / summer. Anyway I can get the article quicker
for now..

Rockzilla thank you for posting the article. Is there any way I can get you to take a closer picture of just the load data? It shows up blurry when I zoom in.

Have often thought of having a reamer ground that is exactly like the 375 JDJ but with the shoulder moved back and the overall case length at roughly 2.03" or so (standard 30-30). Could then bore, rifle and rechamber a 336 Marlin to the new case and call it a 375 Marlin. Using the pressure rating of the 307 or 356 cartridges, then I am guessing here, the muzzle velocity of a 220 gr flat point (old Hornady 375 Win bullet) should be in the area of 2,400-2,600 fps. Maybe not worth the effort but fun to plan.
