LGS has one, a Ruger #1 in a wildcat 222 Remington case necked up to 25 caliber.
Professionally done, complete with dies and loaded ammo, $1,000.00 out the door.
First I have heard of this one.

This is the 25 Copperhead, popularized by John Wooters, IIRC. CH makes dies for it. Buy it. Buy it now. It was designed to be a cast bullet cartridge for plinking, small game, and can be stretched to deer-sized game under the right conditions.

Excellent cast bullet cartridge. I wouldn't let that one get by me.....

Same here, I’d be all over that!

Does it come with handloading data? Surely it has to be out there somewhere if Wooters sponsored it.

I have a Sako in 222magX25 and it is a wonderful cast boolit rifle. The 222X25 would be even better as the 222mag case holds more powder than needed for cast boolit velocities.

I was contemplating converting my .222 Savage 340 to this at one time. Seems like the perfect cartridge to me.

Google <25 Copperhead>, there's a lot of data out there.

Look at it this way, the dies are worth a hundred bucks, that means the #1 is only $900. A bargain these days.

I think it would make a great coyote rifle with j-words too.

I have built 2.
85gr RNFP from NOE and 7gr Unique ruins an Armadillos day
Both of Wooters original articles on it appear in Wolfe Publishing’s “Wildcat Cartridges”
I would buy it
