Recently I was requested to produce several trigger shoes for a friend. They apparently are pretty scarce these days. so here is my efforts. I though I might share with this forum.

Careful when one snags when bolstering you can shoot your self. Happened at the local police range and were banned.

Nice work. Didn't realize they'd become so hard to find.

These are intended for use on a rifle so bolstering them won't be a problem. Revolver or pistol may be a different kettle of fish.

When I was young, they were the cheapest and easiest way to improve a trigger pull on a rifle with a narrow trigger- especially a bolt action milsurp. The increased leverage provided by the width worked well. Flaig's, Tyler's and other companies made a large selection. I had one on my first Remington 788; I have one currently on a 1914 BSA SMLE. If they are wider than the trigger guard- don't use them.
Yours look very good; that is some precise work.

I have one on an older S&W revolver , does not interfere with holstering or anything else , appears to have been a bullseye shooters pistol was on it when I bought it , does not protrude outside of trigger guard .

I use one on my 1911 .45ACP for bullseye shooting. I have large hands and long fingers so it makes the trigger reach more comfortable. My bullseye gun is never holstered, it goes into a pistol case then into my range bag.

The prudent thing to do is what Texas advised. If wider than the trigger guard--don't use it, or modify it to less than the trigger guard width. I used one on a S&W Brazilian 1917 revolver by modifying it slightly and rounding the edges. Very effective that way especially in double action which is what I mostly shoot with the S&W's. my experience anyway, james

I like em. Not so much for making a 2lb. feel like 2 oz., -- more to make a 5 lb. feel like a 2 lb. jd
