NOE is quite busy lately and is out of their mold lube. What is an acceptable substitute for the brass and aluminum molds?

thank,

About any 2 cycle lube , synthetic or whatever , they all seem to work , I have so many of those little bottles I have taken to squirting them into chainsaw gas cans , they tend to accumulate and when you get one with each mold it is hard even with a lot of casting to use them up .

Conditor22 thanks for the link on those little needle bottles , they are very handy for applying sprue plate lube .
Sorry to cut in / thread drift

Thought NOE mold lube was 2 stroke oil? Smells like it anyways. I used two stroke oil or bee wax on all the points. Anti seize works the best for the bottom of the sprue plate. It last way longer than two stroke or NOE oil and doesn't pinnetrate the cavities.

I've been using a synthetic two stroke oil , the kind mixed with the gas , the label fell off a few years ago so I don't know the brand ... 2.6 ozs will last a lifetime and I read on the NOE site full synthetic was best .
It might be the oil in post # 6 ... I do remember getting it a wally mart for a dollar something .

I'm playing around with copper anti-seize paste - something I saw on Elvis Ammo's Youtube page.
