want to purchase a CZ527 kevlar stock and on the cz site it says 1 in 9 twist
my question is how does that fair with cast bullets ?

1:9 is basically the same as most AR's and "tactikool" bolt actions. Varmit and hunting .223's are more like 1:12.

I shoot lead out of my AR all the time and mine is a 1:9 model. Because it's a semi-auto I have to load it to near FMJ loads to get the gun to cycle so they fly pretty fast. One day I'll have to chrono them. :) You can load them a lot milder for a bolt action and they are still accurate (as I found out when building up the load and having to manually cycle the AR until I got one that worked).

If you shoot at CTM, you can try some cast boolits in a 1:9 rifle one Sunday.
