Cleaned it up and eeked out the time to cast up 60 or so bullets before I was missed. I water dropped them, not sure if it is necessary, but I hope to go and shoot a few tomorrow. Also received 1000 Hornady gas checks as well, I have been using H110 and Unique to load for the 357, as well as the 44, and 45, but I think I will be picking up a pound of 2400 so I can give old Skeeter's load a try. It was a Merry Christmas, surrounded by family and friends, all celebrating God's love for us by giving us a Savior.

I've got a friend who's trying to find his for me. I want to have it hollowpointed by buckshot.

I have a brass mould (I believe it is called a New England mould or something similar) that is a copy of the 358156.

I have been shooting it successfully for some time in my .357 Magnums, but it is only a single cavity so I recently bought a two cavity Lyman. I cast a bunch of them and noticed that the front driving band is narrower on the Lyman than on the New England. I have not shot them yet, so I don't know if the Lyman boolits will shoot the same as the older one or worse.

I like that boolit in a magnum case over 5g W231 for a +P special and 15.5g H110 for a magnum.

Warning - Please verify my magnum load and work up to it. Safety first. :)

Merry Christmas.

14.0 grains 2400 and the 358156 boolits shoot very well in my model 27.

Thanks Gents, I look forward to experimenting with this bullet. If it was good enough for Skeeter, it should be good enough for me.

Very close to "my" load of 13.5gr of 2400. Accurate and no leading.

Wow, went to the local gunshop yesterday, trying to build my stock of powder and primers, prices went up $2 on small pistol and $3 on large pistol just since October. I'm going to priced out of shooting if this trend keeps up.

358156...still one of my favorites, 358091 is the other.

358156 was what Dad taught me to cast when I was in grade school. I've cast tons! For years say 20 or so, that was the only boolit I had for 38/357. I shot most of them in .38 sans GC. Still did fine. I've also used that boolit to set the speed limit on a few .357s I've owned. Great boolit. Can go fast or slow and group like you want.
