I have about 5-6K of FC 223 and am unsure what is ring-crimped and what isn't. From what I have searched/read, some FC brass is crimped and some isn't . FC 223 stamped seems to be said not be crimped - FC with a year stamp is said to be crimped but I'm confused as to what I'm looking at. In the attached photo, what's what?

I just swage them all, it takes about the same amount of time as sorting them and less time than sorting and then swaging just the ones that need it.

FC brass is not all 223 some is 556... so some 233 as well as the 556 will be crimped .
the best bet is to swage or ream the primer pocket.

Thanks, guy's . All of it is range pick-ups that I'm in the process of selling. One guy asked if they were crimped or not - I emailed him & said they appeared to be crimped but since they were range pick-ups, that some had probably been reloaded and possibly reamed/swaged. Dork just replied back that it didn't matter as he could swage or ream if needed.[smilie=b:
