Well, I'm onward through the fog to see how crazy a gun show is these days. Lots of masked people with guns! Cool.

You mean Texas hs thawed out enough from the big storm? LOL

Hope the show is an enjoyable one T by G - a person needs some sanity like a good gunshot to relax with all the sewer leaks there are in Washington and other places.

Give us a report please!

Looking forward to a report back. I've been wondering what few show's I've heard about are going.

If the Covid numbers in Oklahoma keep dropping, it looks like the Wanenmacher show in Tulsa show be a go in April. I've only been twice and it's a sight to see. Just be prepared to spend the whole day, or both days. Yes, it really is that big if you want to see it all.

Murphy, I've always wanted to go to the Tulsa show but still haven't made it. Maybe this year.
The building was crowded full of freedom loving people. There is no shortage of black guns and black pistols for sure. Ammo and primers all over the place and quite overpriced- shocker. I did sell some surplus to me boxed factory ammo to some guys to mark up however they want to. I also sold one of my S&W Shield 9mm pistols for about $50 more than I had in it- and I threw in a box of ammo. The individual was happy and so was I.
A few tables down, I could not pass up a S&W police trade in Model 10 4" .38 Special. I negotiated him down a little and he still threw in some ammo. We were both happy.
Despite the majority of dealers at the show; the totally legal ( in Texas) private sales between individuals still happen. As it should.

Texas by God, I kind of envisioned that is what most would encounter at a show these days. Lot's of black rifles & fantastic plastic wonder 9's everywhere. Congratulations on the Model 10 score. I've been eyeing a Model 10 4" pencil barrel 4 screw locally. It's been sitting there for nearly 2 years on the shelf. I don't 'need' it, but I sure 'want' it. I think that's how I've came by 80% of the firearms I own. As for reloading components, nothing surprises me these days. I've seen some wild auction over on Gunbroker. I know a lot of folks can't stand Gunbroker. Then again, the only way some folks can find what they want or need is on Gunbroker. If not there, they may be better off looking around on forums. If you're thinking you may want to check out the Tulsa show, you may want to check into hotel/motel reservations, quick like. I have a relative who's been attending to the Tulsa show for decades now. He learned long ago to book a room months in advance. You can see vehicle tags from every state in the Union on the parking lot when that one takes place. Thanks for report.

I was very tempted by a late model 788 .243 for $450. It's in very good shape but the S&W .38 needed me more. NorthEast corner table if any of yall are looking for one......

Ohh that 788 would have been fun. I have the 223 variant and it’s a tack driver. Shoots circles around most of the guns at the local club when I take it out to stretch. Always love pulling the Bargain Bolt gun out and having all the black rifle guys wonder why I’m more accurate than they are (not that I don’t like my black rifle).

Ft. Worth is 75 minutes away and parking is a nightmare...and so is the rainy interstate. I think I will skip this one.

The Original Kalispell Gun Show will be held next on Mar 26th-28th, 2021 with additional shows on Sep 10th-12th, 2021, in Kalispell, MT. This Kalispell gun show is held at Majestic Valley Arena and hosted by Northwest Montana Arms Collectors Association.

Note - It is NOT at the Fairgrounds this year; it is at the Majestic Valley Arena on US93; between Kalispelll and Whitefish.

Thanks MUSTANG

I was at the one last spring at the Majestic Valley Arena. I don't usually look for powder, primers, bullets, brass or ammo as I'm well set on those. It's the small odds and ends that keep me going plus I enjoy talking with like minded folks. I'll ride the bike down from Eureka again if the weather is ok.

I went both yesterday and today. You are correct with the Ammo and Primers being plentiful and over priced. After leaving this gun show you wouldn't think there wasn't a shortage due to the volume.

Well was everyone wearing a mask ? And is it not nice to live in a state that allows its Citizens to buy and sell a Shall not be Infringed item , unlike the socialist state of was Washington , where us Citizens are not allowed that privilege anymore .

Glad you had a good time and got the S&W , I miss the shows here where one could buy without doing all the paperwork and then getting delayed , I just quit going as there is no point getting a delay then a few days later the proceed and have to drive to wherever and go through a dealer to pick it up .

The sellers were about half and half wearing masks but the attendees were all wearing masks. There used to be a tiny gun show at a shooting range about 30 minutes west of me, once a year. One room, 20 tables at most. But no dealers and every seller had about 20 guns to sell or trade. I liked that show!

I liked the small no dealer shows myself , one could find knowledge there from the old timers who did it for fun .

Been to the Wannamacher show a number of times. You can see it in one day if you don't stop to look at much, but to do a proper job, it takes both days. My feet hurt at the end of the day and my wallet is usually a bit lighter too!!

Just had a show in Homedale, Idaho this past weekend. Maybe 1/4 of the vendors wore masks, almost none of the customers wore them. According to the promoter, we had a record setting attendance on Saturday, that was more than double any other single day of all of the shows he has done.
I saw 9mm Luger and .223 Rem. ammo selling for $1 per round, and primers "offered" for up to $250 per 1k (he still had them when the show closed). But I also saw some "Ted Nugent" .270 Winchester, 130gr. Barnes TTSX, selling for $30 a box. And primers that sold for $100 per 1k.
Reloading die sets were selling for $20 - $35 per set. Black rifles were available for $750 or $800, and up. Lee 10 pound bottom pour in great shape brought $40. One vendor, selling his father's estate, had a 10-22 for $240, a Desert Eagle .50AE for $1000, a Rossi lever gun in .45 Colt for $300.
It was really a fun show!
We have another show coming up on March 27th and 28th in Filer, Idaho, at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds. It's a small show with @130 tables, but we'll have them spread out in two buildings with a covered walkway between them. I'm one of the promoters for that show, so if you have questions, just ask!

Went to a small-town show here in North Florida last weekend and a different one in another town the weekend before.

Maybe 50-50 on masks. Ammo prices were insane, but that's the times we're in. There was ammo available though if you needed it. The earlier show had no reloading supplies, but for one table with a few sets of dies and a used single-stage press. Last weekend's show had a couple of tables with some powders and primers. At the now-usual prices, but they had them.

Interesting thing to me was the earlier show was a dealer who had three boxes of the Federal American Eagle 100gr jsp 327 Fed Mag. I ordinarily buy every box of that I come across because 327 anything is now seldom seen, but in this case I let them go because he wanted $55 a box. Last weekend's show had a dealer with three boxes of that very same ammo who only wanted $30 a box which was about what retail was in late 2019 so I bought all three boxes.

Both shows were well attended and there was plenty of guns to see.
