Just saw a post about protecting loaded lubed cartages carried in pockets, brought up past thoughts about fresh cast boolits. I cast a lot of .490 round balls, among other boolits. Have opened up containers of cast balls after a while and have noticed corrosion forming.
Any ideal on how to stop that. On occasion I buy balls and they do not have any corrosion.

Keep them sealed and away from the air.
Its the Oxygen and/or humidity in the air doing that.

I use a lot of quart size freezer bags, and have had good luck with that.

Mix some graphite and paste wax, put some in a bag with the balls and get them coated. Let them dry and put them into storage.
