I ordered the K31 specific mold from Accurate Molds up in Salt Lake City, as usual, the mold I received is a work of art. I used some 89-7-4 alloy and dropped bullets from this mold into cold water and after running them through my Star bullet sizer, (.309"), I loaded them in front of a start charge of Accurate 5744. I used polyester to fill the air space, that load is shooting into a 2" group at 100 yards. This is the first time I loaded cast bullets for my my made in 1944 K31. Best thing . . . the bottom of the gas checked bulllet is flush with the bottom of the case neck! That's with the bullet touching the rifling. Next, I will bump up the charge a bit and check for accuracy further out, either 150 or 200 yards. It's an iron mold. Thank you Tom at Accurate Molds.
