Has anyone ever slugged the bore on a Walther PP super in 9x18? I'm trying to find out what the groove diameter tends to be.

Thanks,

Dan

The 9x18 Makarov round has a .365 bullet diameter. 9x17 is .356.

I size my Makarov boolets for my random P 64 and my Bulgarian Makarov to .363. Xtreme accuracy(same hole accuracy) and absolutely no leading. While the Makarov Will shoot bullets size to.365 The P 64 will not chamber boolets that big. Considering that the Polish copied a lot of the aspects of the Walther I would suggest you try a smaller boolet. If you’re interested send me a PM and as soon as it stops raining here and dries out I can send you a few to try.

The 9mm Ultra is a shortened 9mm Luger that works in Walther PP Ultra (Super) blowback pistols. It was never popular in the US; I believe ( could be wrong) that it was invented to skirt around a " no military cartridge" rule for German police. As such it would probably slug .356".

Yes, the 9x18 police is different from 9x18 Mak. I'm just wondering if anyone has actually slugged the bore in these to see what the actual dimensions are. I have a p-38 that has a groove diameter of .3595, which is obviously much larger than the nominal .355. Just wondering if the 9x18 Walthers follow this same pattern.
