HI,
I've had a yen to get a Ruger Redhawlk SS in 357.
What would be a resonable price for a used one?

The Redhawk was only made for a few years in 357 and 41, so they are a little rare. I generaly see them going for $400 to $500+ on the auction sites.

BOOM BOOM,

Interesting what Tigger said--I didn't even know the 357 Magnum came in the Redhawk--learn something everyday...

Now then, you might want to try to locate a Ruger Security-Six stainless in 357 Magnum. I have one and it has fired, who knows how many rounds, and it keeps right on shootin'. I see them once in awhile. Good-luck...BCB

hi,
Yes I've seen & handeled a security six in SS. Nice same goes for the GP100.
But I kinda want a companion piece for my RedHawlk in 44.

I have a SS secuirity six. It's basically a redhawk in a little smaller form. The 357 redhawk is much heavier than the security six. IMHO the security six is just the right size and weight for the 357 mag.

I will have a Redhawk in 357 someday to finish my collection.

HI,
Well I have owned a blackhawlk & the N frame S&W mod. 27 both in 357 both good reliable guns. I'd like to shoot both the security six & GP100 to get a feel for then & thier relative strength.

HI,
My brother George is a big fan of the Python & owns several.
I have put about 50 rounds through one. Good gun, but way over priced.
I liked the N fram S&W better.

HI,
Went shooting, & on the way back checked the pawn shops. Found a real good SRH in 44mag. for $350. Got Stuart my oldest boy to go & check it out. On matts & my recomendation he bought it.
The next weekend we went out & shot some of Matts hot loads in it. Stuart was a little daunted, but I told him to just work up to that level over the summer.
Now just have to convince Marc my other boy to get one.
