How do I get rid of the "Enhanced by Google" search

How do I go about getting rid of the "Enhanced by Google" in the search function.
If I wanted to Google, I would Google.

I feel your pain - searching here has always confounded me.

Googles search algorithm is built into the forums architecture. You would have to case search the forum on another search engine if you didn't want to use it.

Just click on the advanced search and it bypasses Google

On my tablet the advanced search is almost entirely hidden by the huge white enhanced bar. Pretty annoying.

If you use the Brave browser, turn on Brave Shields for the website. It will stop the Enhanced by Google banner from showing up. Not sure what you'd have to do if you're not using Brave.

Scrounge, sorry that didn't work.
The stupid Google banner wasn't always there. It's just really annoying.
DRILLER was right, you can just click on the advanced search and bypass Google.

It been reported and being worked on. Zooming in helps the advanced search show better.

Willy has adjusted the size of the google box so it shouldn’t interfere with the advance search function. As far as using google for the search, it’s what we have.

I have read the search feature for hours.
I started binding print-out just on 44 mag.
There isn't enough printer ink in the world to print it all.
Worked fine for me in all its incarnations.
I worry nights about the next interweb being
pay-per-view. Could happen.

In Brave the Enhanced by Google search box still extends to the right of the page which puts a scroll bar at the bottom. Right click in the box, select "Brave" then select "block element via selector". Box is gone and all that remains is the search icon.

The "enhanced by Google" is still there on my computer. Nothing has changed.

Yes, things have changed
The Google flag has been moved up so it does not
partially block the Advanced Search field.

It’s been moved above the Advanced search now, so it doesn’t interfere.

DDG uses Google results. The only difference is that DDG claims to not track you. It's merely a filter.

you are actually still using Goggle, and adding to the Google coffers.

On my iPad the search won’t work. Keeps saying unsecured site, submit anyway? I say yes and nothing comes up!

I use Firefox or Palemoon, with the NoJavaScript addon...enable Java for castboolits, block it for all others. Site looks the same for me for the last 5 or 6 years.
