I have an old pacific balance scale.
Oil dampened.
But it's missing the pan and hanger.
The one from my Honady seems to work.
Besides getting them from Hornady, do any on-line dealers carry them????

Nah, there's no aftermarket.
If anyone stocked them, they probably wouldn't sell two of them a year.

Hornady bought out Pacific, and a lot of their stuff didn't change much, or would interchange from the old ones to the new.

Call Hornady, they couldn't cost much for the new generation parts.

I guess I'll just have to try Hornady.
Hope they don't cost more that the scale.

I have an early 70's oil dampened Hornady-Pacific scale. Except for the oil dampened part the scale is the same as my mid 90's Hornady M. The new scales are different.

I think almost any pan and hanger would work if you get the weight right. They are not cheep but Midway does carry a few pans and hangers, I didn't see a Hornady.

Years ago, I bought an used lyman scale, pan was there, but hanger was gone. I simply made one out of aluminum welding rod, and balanced it out. Works well for me.

You may want to look at RCBS. Their pan plate is removable and you can put lead snot in it to make the right weight to balance at zero. The RCBS hooks on a aimple loop attached to the beam.
