Can you shoot a 30-06 GC'd bullet(sized to .311) out of a rifle that has a muzzle brake?? Tom.

See no reason why you should'nt. If this brake was added to the muzzle it should be at least .040 over bore diameter therefore no problem.

I've seen it done with a Thompson Encore in .30-06. Accuracy wasn't the best, but I don't think that is a GC problem. It my be a throat or chambering issue with the barrel.

I've fired hundreds of GC'd rounds through a rifle with a KDF muzzle brake. I use crimp on checks and have never had a problem. I would imagine you're about as likely to stick the GC in the muzzle brake as in the bore. Not very likely.

i shoot a d/w with a brake and so far haven't seen a problem with it.
you might get a bit of lead in there but you should be able to clean it out easily enough.
