This Marlin was originally a 30-30, rebored to 375 Winchester by JES 2 years ago. This past summer I installed a XS Lever Rail w/Ghost ring sight system and it proved very accurate for me up to 75 yards. Got a Sig-Sauer Romeo5 when DVOR had a good price last month. I really like this 1x20mm compact red dot sight. I took the rifle to the range today, 19 degrees and some wind. I stayed long enough to get this sighted in at 50 yards using the Lee 250 grain boolit powder coated with some Smokes John Deere Green, NOE sizing, pushed by book load IMR4198. Very pleased and looking forward to warmer days and longer range sessions.

I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to lever guns, but you made it how you want it, so that's the important thing.

That Lee bullet has shown itself to be a good design in my .38-55. I don't size it, dipped in thinned LLA and loaded once the lube is dry. Works great.

Good evening
Should get the job done !! Very nice looking hunting rifle !
We have a Micro Dot on a 36A that JES bored to 405 Jes for us. That is our up close and heavy Thwaper for the river bottoms we hunt. The 405 is a straight taper 444 case with a .412 groove we keep loaded with 300 FN grainers.
So far all our other Caliber .38 JES Marlins have receiver sights.

Here in Ohio we have to hunt with shotgun slugs, muzzleloader, or straight wall cartridges. I’ve has a Romeo 5 on my shotgun for good while. Put one on my Marlin 45/70. Worked great!
