All the discussion about percussion caps not being available or out of stock everywhere jogged my memory that 20 years ago I had bought and put away one of the Tap-o-cap percussion cap makers. I went out to the garage and found it. Now I need to get some new rolls of the caps like are used in toy cap guns. I'll make some of the percussion caps any try them to see if they actually work. That little box of toy caps is 20 years old and they may be duds now.

Assuming your caps still fire, a common method for getting better performance is to place a tiny pinch of BP "dust" in the hull and seat the cap down on top of it.

I wouldn't waste my time with roll caps. I'd go right to the 22 Reloader Prime All mix. It works much, much better. I get pretty much 100% reliability n my home brewed percussion caps.
