i just got one of these molds new and i got a partial casting session with the mold.
she throwing right at 158 grs. i'm usunf ww and a lb of 50-50 lead.
anybodyhave any suggestions to get em up to 170. thanks dan
Your modern version of this mould is casting very light! My older 1 and 2-cavity versions cast at 172 grains in WW+ 2% Sn.
You will only gain about 6-7 grains even by going to pure lead. LYMAN has changed this mould a bit but I did not know it was that much !
Perhaps others with the new version will post their findings.

Wow, that's light, I have a newer one that is casting at about 168 with straight ww.

Send Lyman an e-mail, they may have mis-marked a 358477.

I agree with the other posters: that's too light. My six or seven year old four cavity Lyman 358429 dropped 'em at 172 WW. Look at some pics to see if they mismarked it.
