I have a few Lyman molds that have letters after the number.
They look the same.
Is there someplace to find out what the letters stand for????

I believe it's the batch code.

To the best of my knowledge, the letters identify which cherry (cutter) was used to make that mold. As a "cherry" wears down, it eventually reaches the point where a new one must be made. The new cherry will get a new code letter suffix.

I have seen it written that the letters indicate which machinist made that specific cherry, but I have also seen it written that Al Gore invented the internet. It is puzzling that given that this website has been around for years, yet there has not been a definitive answer.
