Civil war era paper cartridges

I had instructions for making paper cartridges for muzzleloader rifles at one time. Where you made a trapezoidal template for cutting out papers, then rolling them on a 1/2" dowel, twisting one end, tying off with thread, putting projectile in the tube, adding second tube inside first, adding powder, folding open end, etc.
Can't find any posts about this procedure anywhere and was wondering if someone out there has access to the instructions.
I still have the template, thread, and other supplies but can't figure out how I did it. Help certainly would be appreciated.

This video describes them as being made for the colt walker. Are these what you're referring to?

No. The ones I'm referring to are like the ones made during the civil war for muskets. They are not loaded like the ones for pistols. You would tear off the end of the paper cartridge, pour the powder down the barrel, extract the round ball from the end of the paper cartridge and ram it down the barrel, put a cap on the nipple and shoot.

I found some when I was a kid and don't remember any thread, just twisted paper, like tissue paper today. Like a dumb kid, I opened them to get the powder.

You should be able to reverse engineer them if you can find pictures of the original ones.

I've had good luck with that by putting what I was looking for in a search engine, then click

Very similar but still not what I was after. The cartridge I'm looking for was not loaded into the firearm. It was simply a way to carry the powder and bullet in the field, usually in a cartridge box. The "envelope" was discarded after loading the powder and bullet.
