I have been busy in the reloading room lately. Casting, powder coating and sizing. Tumbling, depriming and loading. And getting out about once a week to keep boned up on my marksmanship. Made up several hundred full power .308 and 30-30 j word rounds and some jhp in .44 and .357. Certainly time well spent as opposed to watching television or ruminating about the dreadful darkness over the land. In coming days I will tackle an overdue cleanup of my reloading area and continue getting outside to practice.

Absolutely, I wish I could get my wife to see it that way. She tends to use sewing and makes some dandy quilts. But its bullets and loading for me, I have been contemplating bringing my gear into the front room but I just don't think it will happen.

Sure beats watching television and obsessing over the news!

Bingo. I can't watch more than a few minutes before my blood starts boiling. Cant let it ruin my day and they can hear me yelling telling them they are idiots (family forum here).

That is my relaxation too. I'm retired, but still get up a couple hours earlier than the wife so I'm in my den playing. Days we home school the grandkids, the quiet time it precious to me. When school is out my grandson is usually there with me.

Work from home now: spend all day in my reloading room/office: love it. I have not watched the news in years and that has worked out great for me. :)

Beats watching Opra? So does a toothache. However I never knew I had so much brass that needed tumbling and sizing. If I didn't have this loading shop to play in and a 6 yr old grandson to play with, I would have gone even loonier.

Don't think it's therapy. Maybe more of an addiction from my perspective. In the last cold spell, I've been casting, casting, casting and it feels good. Started off with .44HPs, then about three kinds of .38/357s, some .310HPs and finally had to do some .22HPs for the Hornet. Now, on to some 9mms to bolster the stock. But, it is relaxing if people would quit texting me./beagle

Bullet casting has always been therapeutic for me. I dont enjoy reloading much anymore but still like to go turn the pot on & make something out of nothing.

Casting is therapeutic for me. But so is loading, to a lesser degree. I find loading is more enjoyable if I do 50-100.

Casting & reloading is good.
If the weather is too hot or too cold in the shop,
I sometimes bring out a gun to take all apart and put back together a few times while sitting in the kitchen.

Any or all of these activities will reduce stress, as well as keeping your killer instincts clean, and pure.

Most parts of this hobby are therapeutic. I like casting especially once your mold is going properly really allows you to clear you mind of the every day clutter.
I think recoil therapy is good but is much better when it is more like "group therapy". :D
