Just picked up a barrel today. Tag says Douglas 45 cal. 1-66 twist, and it is 42 in long and 15/16 wide.It has threaded breech.also it is new , just dust on it from laying around in a little shop where I spotted it crying take me home! Should there be some kind of markings on it? I don't see any. Next is to find out what thread size is for breech plug.

Call 'em. They might know off the top of their head if they're standardized.

I used a Douglas barrel when I made my .50 Hawken from parts back in the mid 70's. It had no marking on it when I got it, and it came from Douglas. Not even stamped as to caliber. Mine is 1 in 66" also and it won a lot of matches back in the day. james
