What is the equivalent of 2F and 3F Goex powders in Swiss brand powders? I am in France and the local Vectan brand of BP doesn’t have an equivalent of 3F. It goes from 2F to 4F and I would like to try out some 3F. I can get Swiss brand here, but am not sure of the equivalents.
Thanks

This may help.

The European numbering system is essentially backward from the American system, in Europe the higher number the finer the granulation. I believe no.4 is the same as American FFFg.

3F swiss should be marked 3f or number 2 (No2)
All should be marked with F grade followed by (No*) like 2f is 2f (No3)

Here is a link showing the comparison of the numbering systems http://www.blackpowder.ch/powder/shooting-powder
if you look on the can in the link Nobade provided you see the number 4 on the can showing 1.5 fg

What I’m looking for is an equivalent to Goex FFF in Swiss. Buying online you don’t often get to see a picture of the powder. If I want FFF Should I look for no. 2 Swiss?
