Hello folks,
It has been a couple of years since I logged on here. Approximately 4 1/2 years ago my wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Unfortunately it became apparent that something more was going on. She had ALS with Frontal Lobe Dementia. She passed 1 1/2 years ago.
With the help and support of friends I am slowly climbing out of my deep hole that I crawled into!
I am focusing on the things that I love and beginning to reload, shoot, and am actually unpacking my casting equipment.
I live in an amazing area for hiking, backpacking, fishing and hunting. I will be busy!

Bob, welcome back. I too have been down your path. Lost my wife in an in-home accident 4 years ago. I tried a lot of different activities since then but finally got back into shooting and reloading this summer. It's been the best therapy yet.
Get those guns out and shoot them, they were made for that.

Know the feeling. My wife passed with ALS almost 9 years ago. If I wasn’t a Christian don’t think I could have dealt with it all.

I don’t know how you feel. Was never in that situation. I had a few close people pass on when I was by there side.
But, you and your family are in my deepest prayers.

Sorry for all of you that have lost loved ones. My fiancé has third stage cancer so we are travelling that road with God's help.

Glad to hear you are getting back into life....remember it is what she would want...and God is not done with you yet.

Bob, my Mom passed in 2009 from Altzheimers. Nasty disease I would not wish on my worst enemy or even the Left. It took my Father awhile also to come around. It takes time. Best of luck to you and folks are here for you.

May God bless you, sir. May his face shine upon you and give you peace. I cannot imagine your emotions, and never want to. Maybe there is a support group in your area that can help. Best of luck, and prayers.

Bob, my Mom died of ALS years ago. Terrible disease of the body dying while the brain lives. Before she died she was not even able to lift her eyelids.

Hope you do well, I know for a fact it is tough but all we can do it keep going. Glad you are back, keep us informed of your progress.

My Mother was diagnosed with Frontal Lobe Dementia about two years ago, she is slowly going downhill. My wife and I carry most of the load but a several family members step in to give us a break. My Wife, God Bless Her, does most of her personal care and has stood beside me.
