Using Core Mould?

What is the proper way of using a core mould, like the CM-001 shown in this link?

I tried using it yesterday for my first casting experience and it wouldn't fit under any of the bottom pour furnaces I have. Are you supposed to use a ladle instead?

Its ment to be fastened to the edge of a bench/table and ladle poured.

Mine is bolted to a 1x1 or so board and the board mounted in a vice
That way I can control the tilt for lead flow into the holes
