can anyone tell me where to look for a firing pin or the entire bolt for a model 40 mossberg .22 cal rifle. maby some knows how to make one? if anyone can lead me in the right direction it would be great. my grandfather gave me this gun and the firing pin got lost when i was redoing the stock. i think it needs bolt possibly cause the hook to grab casing will not grasp it anymore to eject shell. if any info please dorp me an e-mail at moparmandc@yahoo.com

You can make a request for the part too. Sometimes they have a small quantity and don't list it. Also the same company but different web address....http://e-gunparts.com/

Good morning You can rattle the windows at the Mossy home... they are helpful with some things.

I think Brownells or maybe Bob's Gunshop shop had dimensioned drawings of firing pins. IIRC those were mostly flat stock type pins and not too hard to make. Might be a chance there. Also, keep and eye out on Ebay in the gun parts auction.

You will only need an extractor, not the complete bolt, plus a firing pin
