Herter's 234 Turret press - I just came across one for sale. Was wondering what was the consensus re: them. Single ram 6 staion turret press by Herters. Very robust. Anybody have experience with them? I need another press like a hole in the head. I think it has several sized hole for shotgun shells, and regular dies.

I have 2 Lyman turrets and think they are great but I can’t help you with your herters.

I have a Herters 234. very heavy press as you know. great as a Collectors item . I have used it with all original SH's. If you use it as a turret it will be fine but i found it sort of Impractical. and newer presses Better and more compact.
It does look Good On the bench. I am Not a fan of Slant back turrets. I do like the Lyman All American

I like the beefy 234 press. It operates nice and smooth. Once I got used to the slant, I was good to go. My reloading shed became a storage shed so I don’t use it anymore. If I had the space I’d mount it up again.
