I had a No.2 MKIV .22 trainer fall into my lap not long ago. It's a sweetheart. 1936 vintage. Minty bore, nice original metal, stock may or may not have been arsenal rehabbed. I'm happy to be its custodian. I've always been a sucker for .22 rimfire training rifles of any country.

Single shot .22LR. Empty cartridge cases drop off the extractor into the empty magazine box where they accumulate until disposal.

(And yes, I know it's missing the brass stock disc. I have one coming.)

That is nice!

Do you know if they are going to have the Maryland Antique Arms collector show in Baltimore in March this year? Or has the covid thing made that impossible?

Thanks.

The Baltimore antique arms show was called off a week ago.

I’ve got a No 2 Mk 4 also. An LSA made in 1910. Was converted in 1927. All original, no import marks I can find. It has New Zealand markings. I got it back in 1995. I shoot it now and then.

I actually had one in my hands pulled out of a maintenance truck just outside Kuwait international just after the cease fire in the first Gulf War. Real nice, clean and obviously well taken care of.

Had thoughts in sending it home in my sea bag, but ended up tossing it in the amnesty pile. Kinda sad but it was between choices of either keeping it and running afoul of the customs folks or going home- I made the easy choice

Wise choice and a hard one to make.

That is an absolutely gorgeous piece! I'm an Enfield guy and I would love to put one of those in my collection. Good on you Sir! Envious!
