Wondering what bullet people are using for 38-55 long range cowboy shooting? I am thinking of a 300+ gr RN bullet but haven't found molds. I do cast 38-55 flat nose hunting bullets but I'm new to LR 38-55, sure would appreciate suggestions or experience.

It all depends on your rifle. Twist rate will dictate how long a bullet you can stabilize, and action type will dictate how long the loaded round can be. A single shot with a 1:12 twist barrel is very different from a levergun with a 1:18 twist.
BTW, accuratemolds.com has all the designs you could want once you know what you can use.

300 grains might be too much of a good thing. I found Lyman's 375296 to be a good shooter in my .38-55 at ranges up to 300 yards. Made a pleasant shooting load in both the .38-55 and also in my .375 H & H./beagle

You might want to check your twist rate limitations.

My Cimarron (Uberti) Highwall with its 1-18 twist prints under 2 MOA with a 305 gr. RNFP...if I do my bit! Boolit is from an old NEI mold; very similar to the Accurate 38-305L.

I have several Accurate molds, unfortunately they don't make RN molds.

You don’t need a RN bullet for long range shooting. There is often very little difference in a bullet’s BC between a FN and a RN design. For example, Lyman lists the same BC (.315) for both their 264 FN (375449) and their 264 RN (375167) bullets.
