anybody make an adaptor block that would allow you to crimp 2.5 inch 410 shells with a 3 inch mec jr.

I'm thinking block that raises the crimp station base up so that it crimps a 2.5 inch hull with out redoing all the adjustments

Thought the MEC could be adjusted for either 2.5" or 3" shells. I load 2.5" on mine and believe there are two holes in the center shaft, one for 2.5" and one for 3". Check the instructions that came with the press.

Ballistic Products has one, but it’s out of stock.

aint that interesting, was hoping for a more quick slide in one but thats not a bad option.

maybe some presses can be adjusted but the deprime and prime stations on mine would never adjust enough to make it so I could crimp, they are just to long.

I guess I've never tried 3" with mine but I do 2.5 with no trouble at all

Just for giggles try to load a 3" shell on your press. i thought everyone was blowing smoke about all the adjustments needed until I tried it. Back to the OP a block would be handy.

I just purchased a new MEC .410 Jr. Mk. V press. It came set up for 3" shells, and with a little practice does it perfectly. It is adjustable for 2 1/2" shells. If you want to PM me your address I will send you a copy of how to do the conversion; but I'll bet you can get them directly from MEC.
