Found a good toaster oven at a local thrift store yesterday for 19.99 so i had to pick it up even tough I am not powder coating at this time. This one is large enough to hold a normal size cookie sheet with room to spare on both sides.

I set it to 400 and walked away for 10 minutes, when i came back it was at 400 degrees

I set it to 425 and it went to 425, then set it to 450 and it went to 450...
Now that I have a toaster oven that works and is actually accurate, I can powder coat or heat treat without issues.

I will never try delubing bullets again..... I melted the lube off in a toaster oven, soaked them in Acetone, ran them through the toaster oven again, boiled them for 30 minutes, Acetone again, heated them again in the toaster oven on paper towels and still every time I try to powder coat them the PC sticks in the lube grooves like I put Vaseline in them... Clumpy and wont stick anywhere else. I am wondering if the gas check is keeping them from building up static?

Either way, I just put the probably 8 to 10,000 45-70 bullets aside and started re-casting them. I will coat when the weather is not so cold and humid. The bullets that I de-lubed will eventually get lube again to shoot at range.

Me and cold rainy weather dont seem to get along, It make my pain level go way up
