I've been looking at both the Wheeler Engineering and B-Square for mauser actions. Any other to look at? Comments on quality, cost, etc.?

I've used a Wheeler with some modifications for years with no problems. Befor ethat I did it on a mill. The Wheeler is a little quicker than the mill set up and I like the support the jig gives the tap.

The shop I used to work in had a Forester, nice piece of equipment. Like fishhawk said-works on just about everything and is easy to use. If I remember, it was pretty expensive then, no idea what it runs now. If I was planning to do a lot of drill and tapping, I would get one without hesitation.

And worth every penny...with a little "enginuity" it will do things that Forester never dreamed of doing....well maybe dreamed a little.

i have used my wheeler on at least 20 mausers and if you are careful and treat it right it will get the job done every time.
