I have large hands so I built a gas check applying Jig for each caliber I GC

Using a large hole saw, a template, and pins to keep everything lined up makes this a quick build

Interesting! Faster this way than if you did them one at a time, I imagine?

Not a bad idea. 3D printing would make that super easy to make.

That's cool. I wish I'd thought of that.

And I also subscribe to the theory that a clean, uncluttered work bench is like having a clean, freshly waxed car.
It is the sign of a sick mind.:bigsmyl2:

I cant clean or organize my work bench. I will loose a tool and then won't find it for a month.

The best way I have found to find missing tools & such is to buy a new one.
Then the old one will come back in from the parallel universe within 24 hours.

That reminds me: I need to put a new, #6, unopened, AP shell plate for .38/.357 on S&S.

It's scary how that works, worse when you incur the wrath of Murphy and the new one vanishes overnight too!

Don't tick off Murphy :p

I was about to say the same thing!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but looks like it would work with a 2pc design.
i.e. The 1/2" piece and the gas check holes combined (with guide rails) and the Bullet/seater pieces combined.
Thoughts?

I'm currently taking a CAD course so could use this as a way to practice.
For simplicity and ease of drafting (repeating the pattern) I'd draw it as a rectangular piece

Great idea! I couldn't find the messy work bench in the first photo. In my world if one can still see part of the surface it is organized.

I kind of like the 3 peice design. Then you would just have one base plate. Then gass check and bullet holder plate. Then the whack a mole plate. For the wack mole plate you could taper the holes to make them universal so it sits on the bullets ogive or leave it flat.

Would save on plastic for 3D printing. All you would need to print is the gas check holder plate.

Three44s theory: If there is a mess of stuff somewhere, then there must be a bench under it!

I base that upon an other theory of mine: No one would put a bunch of fine stuff consituting a mess ...... simply on the floor or the ground!

I think the OP did a fine job here.

(Winger Ed has my permission to claim this idea as his ...... as I have no skin in the game!)
