In these times of shortages I am surprised to see both the Lyman Mag 25 and the RCBS Pro Melt available at Midway.
I know this question must have been asked before but which do you consider the better pot.
There must be several of each owned by Cast Boolit members.
Any opinions? It is time to upgrade from the Lee Drip-O-Matic.

I wanted a pro melt looked hi and low and did not find one. rcbs had no idea when they would get a shipment.
I got the mag25 and it works really good.
Like any bottom feed it has to be clean, holds temp with only 1 or 2 degrees up or down
I pressure feed the mold and can hold the weight with in a few tenths of a grain after I get in the rhythm.
I cant speak for the pro melt but at the time it got top reviews.

I would choose RCBS over Lyman on anything. I don’t know anything about the pot comparisons but, to me, the factory support is greatly different.

Which Promelt are you talking about? The original is a good pot, I bought one used and have zero complaints with it.

The Promelt 2 had some mixed reviews IIRC. No experience with it or the Lyman, which I seem to recall also had mixed reviews.
