I wanted a small pouch/bag that can hold medications, fire-starting tools, smokes - whatever.

I made it so that when the draw strings close the pouch mouth, it can be suspended from a waist/belt, or possibles bag strap, etc, etc.

I hand sewed it from some (yellow/chrome) tanned buckskin I had on hand, and loosely patterned it after a Western Apache Medicine pouch I had seen.

Neat. I had one I made that I used for 22s a few years.

Hand making "stuff" is satisfying, isn't it ? :)

Very much so. I lost mine when my house burnt. Used it probably 6 years. It was perfect for two boxes of 22s and my single shot Remington 41 targetmaster.

Pretty good representation for Apache.

My voo bugout gear. Pouch is modified commercial buy, powder horn shows sites of all voo locations, and patch knife made by a local skinner. Also, on the strap is a home made turkey wing bone call.

Sweet ! Good-looking outfit....

I especially like that the horn and the knife handle look like a matched set.

I've made those little bags out of deer skin and they are handy. But your painting on the bag makes it special. Now THAT'S something well beyond my "talents".
