It's Accurate Reloder 7 abbreviated Rl,Rx,Re but NOT Alliant #7 which is different.

Me thinks you have the companies reversed......Accurate makes #7 (a pistol powder) not Alliant. Alliant has a powder named Reloder 7 (a rifle powder), Accurate does not.

I assumed this is what you were referring to

https://www.alliantpowder.com/products/powder/reloder7.aspx

rifle power, works great in most straight wall rifle calibers and many others, but not for pistol caliber loads.

this Accurate No. 7 is for pistol calibers, lots of good cast bullet load data that the company actually tested

Alliant Reloder 7
Lyman's manual uses the abbreviation "Rx7"
I've seen people use "Re7" as well.

Your choice, Bud. I've seen a lot of thread drifts, but yours may be in the top 5. LOL

YES

#7, AA7, aa#7, Accurate #7 is a pistol powder— one of the 9mm major load powders.

I do not use a lot of Reloader 7 my old Hercules can was nearly out and bought a new can of Alliant and it looks totally different !
I have not used any yet will work loads up all over . I really only had one load that was full pressure and that was 30-30 110 grain bullets for a 10" contender The other was a light load for a trapdoor 45-70.

I haven't seen a "Can" of Reloader 7 in ages, I do have 3, 5 lbs plastic jugs. 2 of the jugs and a 1 pound plastic jug all have the older Yellow label. The newest 5 lbs has a black label and is what I currently load in cartridge rifle cartridges. My older yellow label jugs gets used in my Smokeless Muzzleloaders. I believe Allient changed suppliers of Reloader7 when they changed their label colors. I find no difference in Cartridge rifle stuff but the yellow labeled version definitely lights easier in SMLs.

Another 45-70 user. I believe the batches in recent years are made in Sweden.

If the spelling is indicative of pronounciation, it appears most in this thread pronounce it "reloader" (or have an auto correct)

To actually add to this thread:

Accurate #7 is usually abbreviated "AA#7" (though i think i might have seen just a "#7" in one of my manuals, but i think that manual had a list of powders and abbreviations used)

So my guess would be as long as there is an "R"and a "7" both, it is an abbreviation for reloder 7.
