Folks I just recieved a Mint in the white 1901 Remington smokeless action, complete. Can anyone recommend a smith or company, to chamber, thread and install a barrel in the white. Preferably one that I could get it back in 3-4 months. All feedback appreciated.

Check with C. Sharps Arms. They rebarrel a lot of rolling blocks. They have one of mine now. Putting a new green mountain barrel on it.

Give Johnson’s Sporting Goods in Adrian, Mi a call. Their gunsmith named Steve Durren is a top notch gunsmith and has built many rolling blocks. I have no idea about prices or timeline but he is very good.
Their phone # is 517- 265-2545.
I have been buying guns from them for over 45 years and they are good people.

Steve Durren is one of the best, but don't expect it to get done in the time frame specified.

I use C Sharps also, and the work is excellent, and prices very fair. Pat Taylor does a nice job on barrel work.

You might give Andy Borvath a call.
