I have a Forrester case-length trimmer. over time, I developed trimmed cases that I keep separately and use to quickly set-up the trimmer. I also have a Frankford Arsenal trimmer and I use these dummies to set it also. Recently I acquired a Dillon Precision Primer Pocket Swage for fixing the primer pockets on military brass. My question is: can I use a new commercial factory case to set the swage depth quickly?

I guess you could, but the web thickness is what provides the positive stop for the case on the Dillon. It has been years since I used mine, but I don't remember the setting really changing between LC and WCC 5.56 brass.

It only takes two or three minutes to setup, including screwing it to the bench with a drill. Once you get things setup and operating correctly, you can kind of "enter the zone" and quickly process a gallon or so of brass.

Don't forget the rubber band. Been awhile since mine was set up before I moved.
